Version imprimableEnvoyer

Montréal, December 3, 2003 – Starting Monday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m., the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) will start the public consultation on the draft by-law to amend the urban plan of the former municipality of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. This draft By-law aims to redefine the designations of certain areas around Saint-Jean and des Sources Boulevards, Anselme-Lavigne Street, and around Lake Street and De Salaberry Boulevard.

Densification around Saint-Jean and des Sources Boulevards aims to protect the residential character of the borough. Moreover, the borough's commercial hubs would be consolidated to better position them regionally. Lastly, the draft by-law creates an institutional land use area authorizing a building for a primary school, childcare centre, daycare centre, drop-in daycare centre, and kindergarten.

The draft by-law proposes 8 amendments to the land use plan. The Office de consultation publique de Montréal will hold a consultation meeting divided into two separate sessions that will address the proposed amendments to the urban plan according to their geographical location within the borough.

1st session – December 15, 2003, 7:00 p.m.
Amendments to be addressed:

  • Residential designation around De Salaberry Boulevard and Lake Street;
  • Commercial designation around Hyman, des Sources and De Salaberry Boulevards;
  • Residential designation around Capri and Churchill Streets;
  • Residential designation around des Sources Boulevard, Columbia Crescent and Laniel Street;
  • Residential designation around des Sources Boulevard, Place Donnacona and Lisbonne Street.

2nd session – December 16, 2003, 7:00 p.m.
Amendments to be addressed:

  • Residential designation around Ernest and Mirabel Streets;
  • Institutional designation around Anselme-Lavigne, Collingwood, Baderwood and Alouette Streets;
  • Residential designation around Cézanne, Biscaye and Mirabel Streets.

Both sessions will be held at the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Center, 12001 De Salaberry Boulevard, Reception Hall, room 026 (Entrance via the municipal library).
